Aventa is seeking, on behalf of our client—a leading developer in the offshore renewable energy sector—a Electrical installation & commissioning Supervisor to join their Substation Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled engineers contributing to one of the most significant offshore wind developments in the region. Role Description The consultant will be part of a project team where trust, integrity and accountability play a fundamental role in the collaboration it takes to execute a project successfully. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with your team leader and coordinating site activities between various suppliers. The consultant must bring his/her own PC with Microsoft Office software and must be in possession of an iPhone 11 or a newer model where Ørsted’s AirWatch app can be downloaded. The app is mandatory on all mobile devices used by Ørsted staff (including consultants) to protect them from cybercrime. Main Responsibilities: • Collaborate amongst the electrical installation and commissioning supervisors to establish a high degree of trust., • Proactively establish and maintain good professional relationship with all stakeholders, especially main contractor’s staff and workers, and internal stakeholders., • It is the Onshore Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisor’s responsibility to facilitate constructive and fact-based communication between activities at site, Onshore Electrical Installation & Commissioning Management, and back-office functions within the project. Through honest observation-based feedback on progress and quality, enabling, especially the Onshore Electrical Installation & Commissioning Manager, to conduct solid risk assessments, present realistic forecasts to project management, and prepare for a smooth handover to Generation, • Facilitate day-to-day collaboration on site between contractors and internal stakeholders, and efficient installation and electrical outfitting, test, and commissioning., • Ensure quality in relation to workmanship during electrical Installation., • Be present in day-to-day planning and supervision, participating in toolbox talks, site coordination meetings, installation work, and test & commissioning activities., • Ensure that commissioning within the defined technical area(s) is executed safely in accordance with industry standards and national legislation., • Ensure that test and commissioning are properly coordinated and documented, in accordance with processes, using only accepted procedures., • Supervise and proactively support that the work is carried out in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation., • Align with and report to the Electrical Installation and Commissioning Manager. Responsible to follow up on contractors' deliverables within agreed scopes. Main Tasks: • Perform day-to-day supervision and QA/QC during the Contractors electrical installation of HV Primary and Secondary systems., • SAT witnessing of HV Primary and Secondary systems., • Installation and commissioning progress reporting., • Carry out comprehensive documentation review of completed test documentation and electrical schematic drawings., • Facilitate Planning, co-ordination, and participation in Contractors SIT activities, ensuring all relevant test protocols are being followed and that all applicable safety systems and procedures are being adhered to., • Recording quality observations (punches) and highlight potential NCRs., • Supervise Contractor Pre-energisation activities., • Facilitate alignment meetings with respectively back-office engineers and on-site contractor team leads – enabling collaboration through open communication on quality, progress, and safety., • Update Electrical Installation & Commissioning Management on system specific progress, risks, and quality – providing observation-based input to scope related progress and risks., • Review contractor ITP and test procedures, and witness all test phases (FAT, SAT, and SIT) based on the Critical to Functionality (CtF) and Critical to Quality (CtQ) guidelines from the functional line department and project specific assessment., • Supervise delivery of equipment, ensuring that all damages and missing equipment is recorded and addressed to the contactor. This includes familiarisation with shipping lists and reviewing equipment unloading Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS) All safety training (L-AUS, GWO, HUET with CA-EBS, medical UKOG + Chester step test) lies with the consultant. Mainly for offshore related contract and may be required under certain conditions for onshore related contracts. Requirements: • Background expectations:, • The candidates must have 10 years hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of up to 400kV Primary and associated Secondary electrical equipment on onshore substations., • Low voltage systems experience: Commissioning of low voltage electrical distribution systems, both AC and DC associated with Primary and Secondary systems,, • Have a completed degree or vocational training within electrical engineering., • Speak, read, and write English at advanced level., • Excel at establishing and maintaining good collaboration through acknowledging communication with stakeholders.
