Product Operations Manager \n Location: New York City, NY (In-Office)\n Employment Type: Full-Time\n Salary Range: $120,000 – $155,000, commensurate with experience \n About LoanBud \n LoanBud is a rapidly expanding financial technology platform dedicated to SBA financing, connecting entrepreneurs to a nationwide network of lenders. We build software and processes that remove friction from small-business lending and help entrepreneurs move faster, with greater certainty, through complex financing decisions. \n Position Overview \n LoanBud is hiring a Product Operations Manager to sit at the intersection of product vision, execution, and quality. This role is responsible for translating C-suite product vision into clear requirements, ensuring exceptional product quality through rigorous QA, and continuously improving user journeys across internal tools and customer-facing software.\n \n This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the details—someone who can test, validate, and refine software for long periods without losing focus. You will play a critical role in ensuring that every release is clearly defined, thoroughly tested, well-documented, and successfully rolled out to teams of 50+ users. \n Key Responsibilities \n Product Requirements & PRDs \n -\tTranslate leadership vision and business needs into clear, structured Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).\n -\tDefine workflows, edge cases, constraints, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.\n -\tMaintain a clear source of truth for product requirements and decisions. \n Jira Ticketing & Delivery Support \n -\tBreak PRDs into well-scoped Jira tickets with detailed acceptance criteria.\n -\tMaintain backlog clarity, ticket hygiene, and sprint readiness.\n -\tAct as the day-to-day bridge between Product, Engineering, and Operations. \n Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing \n -\tOwn end-to-end QA across features, releases, and workflows.\n -\tCreate and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing procedures.\n -\tPerform deep, methodical testing across long sessions, identifying edge cases and inconsistencies.\n -\tEnsure features are production-ready before release—not after issues surface. \n UX & User Journey Optimization \n -\tContinuously review and optimize user journeys across internal and external tools.\n -\tIdentify friction points, unclear flows, and usability issues.\n -\tPartner with Design and Engineering to improve clarity, efficiency, and adoption. \n Implementation & Internal Rollouts \n -\tLead readiness and rollout efforts for new features and systems across teams of 50+ users.\n -\tCoordinate training, documentation, and internal communications ahead of launches.\n -\tEnsure new functionality is understood, adopted, and used correctly. \n Documentation & Enablement \n -\tCreate and maintain product documentation, SOPs, release notes, and internal guides.\n -\tCapture recurring questions and convert them into durable documentation.\n -\tEnsure Credit, Operations, and Customer-facing teams are prepared for product changes. \n Customer & Support Mindset \n -\tApproach product work with a customer-success and support-oriented mindset.\n -\tReproduce reported issues and investigate root causes.\n -\tFeed real-world usage insights back into product improvements. \n Requirements \n -\t5+ years in Product Operations, Product Delivery, Technical Business Analysis, or similar roles.\n -\tProven experience writing PRDs, Jira tickets, and acceptance criteria.\n -\tDemonstrated ability to perform deep, sustained QA testing with extreme attention to detail.\n -\tExperience rolling out new software or systems to teams of 50+ users.\n -\tStrong understanding of UX principles and user journey optimization.\n -\tComfortable working closely with developers and understanding system behavior (no coding required).\n -\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n -\tHighly organized, methodical, and reliable. \n Nice to Have \n -\tExperience in fintech, lending, or regulated software environments.\n -\tPrior customer support or customer success experience.\n -\tExperience coordinating UAT, releases, or internal change management.\n -\tBackground working in fast-growing startups or scale-ups. \n Be Part of Our Growth Story \n Join LoanBud and help build software that works—cleanly, reliably, and at scale.
