Job Description Job Summary: The Kansas, Western Missouri sales position is responsible for sales of the J+J Flooring Group branded commercial flooring product line and other sales-related activities within the assigned geographical territory. Primary customer contacts include commercial interior designers and architects (A&D), flooring contractors/flooring product dealers (Dealers) and corporate clients including health care, education, government, religious (End Users). Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Identify sales opportunities through new construction and refurbishing of facilities, offices, end users, and other projects. Leads are generated through developing relationships with key specifiers including architects, designers and commercial flooring contractors., • Establish relationships with Strategic Accounts Executives to promote geographical growth of strategic accounts., • Provide sales and marketing services in the marketplace including sales calls, supply of marketing materials and support, sales presentations, designer luncheons, client entertainment, etc., • Move flooring product projects/orders through the sales process which includes specification, bidding, and supplying., • Maintain status and service on job bids and current specifications in order to secure projects that are in process., • Establish key relationships and networking opportunities through customer service activities and through participation in trade and community organizations. Membership and participation in an industry trade association, IFMA, BOMA, or IIDA, is mandatory., • Customer data updated daily, (including email address, phone numbers, and project information) into Quest-CRM system on company supplied iPad., • For this geography, a minimum of two years of experience as a floor covering manufacturers representative and evidence of sustained effectiveness and success is strongly preferred., • Experience working with interior and architectural community within the previous 12 months within the designated geography is strongly preferred., • Intense drive to achieve sales metrics/forecast. Job Description Our Client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager will provide overall direction and leadership and owns project outcomes for significantly complex projects and/or multiple projects. This position will be the Office Lead on the Kansas City team and fully implement and manage the operation, profitability and administration of projects. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of our company. Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults senior management on other decisions. Leads all aspects of the companys safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Supports the preconstruction team including quantity takeoff, trade coordination and scope of work development, scope review, bid package development, schedule development, bid list creation and bid advertisement. Leads plan and implementation of buyout schedule. Verifies pricing and scope, identifies successful bidders, provides gap analysis against initial scope and manages issuance of subcontracts. Manages the submittal schedule setup. Coordinates priorities with the team; reviews and approves all shop drawings and samples prior to submittal to architects or engineers. Ensures approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to project team per the project schedule and the contract. Coordinates with Logistics to obtain pricing on materials and equipment. Confers with risk management to ensure approval and/or bonding requirements for subcontractors. Manages materials, labor and procurement logs to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet the project schedule. Identifies potential schedule impacts including scope, weather, manpower and changes, and facilitates mitigation plans for these impacts. Employs current best practices for documentation requirements. Provides a variety of regular reporting and analysis to project team(s) to communicate overall project status and profitability.
