Job DescriptionJob Title: Trailer Technician Job Description As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, diagnosing and repairing issues in semi-trucks and tractor-trailers, and conducting daily maintenance and lubrication of auxiliary equipment. You will also test equipment and systems for performance and safety, repair brakes, electrical systems, and ABS brake systems, replace worn or damaged parts and components, and document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers., • Diagnose and repair issues in semi-trucks and tractor-trailers., • Conduct daily maintenance and lubrication of auxiliary equipment., • Test equipment and systems for performance and safety., • Repair brakes, electrical systems, and ABS brake systems., • Replace worn or damaged parts and components., • Document all repairs and maintenance activities accurately., • Operate and maintain hand tools used in the maintenance workshop., • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed., • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.Essential Skills, • Mechanical skills, • Trailer repair expertise, • Proficiency with hand and power tools, • Ability to read schematics and blueprints, • Knowledge of brake and electrical systemsAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • GED or equivalent required, • Welding or fabrication experience, • Preferred knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS systems Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
