About the Role: The Controller plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the financial operations and reporting of the organization to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. This position is responsible for managing accounting functions, preparing financial statements, and coordinating audits to maintain the integrity of financial data. The Controller collaborates closely with executive leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans that support the company’s growth objectives. By implementing robust internal controls and financial policies, the Controller safeguards company assets and mitigates financial risks. Ultimately, this role drives financial transparency and provides actionable insights that inform key business decisions across the organization. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles., • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards., • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel., • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation., • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite., • Previous experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role., • Advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis., • Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations., • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP., • Coordinate and lead the external audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements., • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and operational efficiency., • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy., • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment., • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. The Controller utilizes strong analytical and organizational skills daily to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel enables efficient management of complex financial data and preparation of detailed reports. Leadership and communication skills are essential for supervising accounting teams and collaborating with other departments to align financial strategies with business goals. Problem-solving abilities help the Controller identify discrepancies, optimize processes, and implement effective internal controls. Additionally, knowledge of regulatory frameworks and audit procedures ensures the company meets all legal and financial obligations consistently.
