Role Description: The Director, HRBP, occupies a pivotal role within the Global Supply Chain organization, serving as an advisor, strategic thought partner, and catalyst for organizational advancement. This position collaborates closely with executive and senior leadership to push progress across various initiatives and departments, ensuring alignment of efforts toward achieving corporate and warehouse operations objectives. By facilitating cross-functional collaboration between People, Finance & Accounting, and Legal teams, the Director, HRBP fosters collective problem-solving and future-oriented planning. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies in organizational design, change management, talent management, leadership development, and the retention of high-performing top talent to support positive business outcomes. The Director leads a team of HR professionals dedicated to the Global Supply Chain organization while also mentoring colleagues across the People team and contributing to its broader objectives and key results (OKRs). Candidates for this role must possess experience in global supply chain corporate and warehouse environments, and demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic, hands-on setting. The Director, HRBP, plays a central role in aligning business unit priorities with People strategies to effectively plan, develop, and implement essential organizational capabilities. This role reports to the Sr Director, People Strategy & Operations. What you'll do: • Within the first six months, you'll work on projects focused on organizational expansion and effectiveness, warehouse operations and labor management, change management, leadership development, and high-performer retention strategies, HR metrics strategic utilization, international/global effectiveness, and HR operations optimization., • Cultivate Relationships & Build Trust: Establishes credible and meaningful connections with senior leadership and key stakeholders, offering thought leadership through expert advice, strategic recommendations, and tailored solutions to align organizational OKRs with people plans and capabilities., • Collaborates, Plans, & Aligns on Strategy: Assess and builds the strategy for ShipBob's Global Supply Chain People objectives, in collaboration with GSC's senior leadership and People team leadership and COEs – harnessing buy-in/alignment., • Manages Ambiguity & Problem Solves: Proactively identifies and addresses corporate, warehouse, and global workforce challenges by leveraging data collection, research, and analysis to uncover trends and develop innovative solutions., • Business Acumen: Maintains thorough awareness of their designated business units/ client groups' OKRs, while leveraging curiosity, analysis, business acumen and their voice to contribute to successful outcomes., • Organizational Analysis & Design: Partners with senior leadership to create comprehensive workforce plans and organizational design, while identifying human capital business needs and counseling senior leadership on the root cause, no matter how complex., • Change Management: Oversees change management efforts through organizational transformation, partnering with senior leadership to assess impact, guide communication and engagement strategies., • Talent Management: Partners with senior leaders to steertalent planning, succession strategies, performance management, and retention efforts – enabling a solid talent bench, improved org effectiveness, and long-term business continuity., • Data & Story Telling: Leverages HR data and business metrics to generate actionable insights, translating analytics into clear narratives that help keep senior leadership informed – guiding thoughtful decisions., • Creative Problem Solver: Bring design thinking and new ideas to the table and proactively create solutions through collaboration and partnership., • Investigates & Mitigates Risk: Supports their directs and the ER/Compliance Manager with employee investigations, providing intervention or resolution where necessary., • Develops Talent: Uses the most effective leadership style with their direct reports to influence high-performance across their team; teaches, coaches, directs, and supports where necessary., • Builds Effective Teams: Responsible for the effectiveness, deliverables, and outcomes of ShipBob Global Supply Chain People Strategy & Operations team., • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience:, • Career concentration in the HRBP job family., • HR leadership and people management background., • Background in the supply chain and warehouse operation industry., • Experience with start-ups and established mid-to large-sized businesses., • Global exposure., • Experience with temporary labor staffing agencies and international EORs., • Have opened, closed, and relocated warehouse site operations., • Has worked in fast-paced environments and is comfortable with speed to action., • Advanced ability using HR technology to deliver on service needs and provide people with metrics and insights., • Comfortable with ambiguity and taking part in complex strategy discussions.
