Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Utilize SAP to acquire System Software, Costing Plans, and Bills of Material for each machine., • Commissioning of machine controls, electronics, electrical devices, and wiring., • Download, Configure, and produce software packages for machine installation based on Standard machines as well as Customer specific options based on the Machine Bill of Material, and costing plan for each individual machine., • Review Customer options and electrical prints to ensure the machine build matches the costing plan., • Configure and produce a PLC project based on the machine hardware and costing plan using a software version template provided by Heller Germany., • Install, commission, and debug Auxiliary equipment from other vendors (i.e. Conveyors, Chillers, Mist collectors, MQL, Pump backs, Fire suppression equipment, Automation, and Coolant systems)., • Ensure proper back up and archives to Heller US Server, Heller Germany Server of commissioning software, protocols, and logs., • Ensure all commission log activities are completed and annotate with explanations for incomplete items., • Troubleshoot machines, • Manage logic changes during build process, • Install changes provided by Software Engineering or Production Control Leader., • Perform electrical voltage and grounding tests (VDE), • Perform safety certification tests (Required Certification training to perform), • Prepare machine for shipping-backups, deleting unneeded files, position axis and devices to proper positions for shipment Supervisory Responsibilities: • Track and implement electrical engineering changes, coordinating with the Controls Department and Electricians., • Ensure Controls and electrical personnel are following safety guidelines., • Participate in Manufacturing and Production meetings to assess and maintain schedules if the production leader is unavailable. Process Owner Responsibilities: • None Education and Experience: • Minimum 2 year degree., • Minimum 5-8 years automotive and machine tool experience. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Hard Skills, • Ability to read and interpret electrical and fluids schematics, • PLC Programming, • Microsoft Office Product application capability (specifically Word, Excel, and Power point), • Thorough understanding of HUS processes: Design, Material Control, Build, • Have a good understanding of Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet communications., • Soft Skills, • Effective time management, • Effective communication with customer, design suppliers, ancillary equipment suppliers, project manager, build leader, NC programmer, and employees, • Must be able to effectively communicate technical information, • Must be able to navigate basic operation of Machines to include jogging, modes of operation, and single or individual functions. Training Requirements: • OSHA 10, • General Safety, • 9001 Quality System Awareness, • ISO 14001 Environmental Awareness Physical Demands: • Frequent: Standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, stooping, crawling and reaching. Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects. Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements., • Periodic: Operating power equipment, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones., • Occasional: Lifting or moving up to 50lbs. Personal Protective Equipment: • Safety glasses may be required while performing specific tasks., • Steel toe safety shoes may be required while performing specific tasks, • Hearing protection may be required while performing specific tasks. Work Environment: • Works in both office and plant environment. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
