Job Description Job Title: IT Systems & Applications Administrator Department: IT Reports To: IT Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Overview: The IT Systems & Security Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, security, and business technology solutions. This role plans, implements, and manages security measures to protect networks, systems, and data while ensuring the reliability and performance of hardware, software, and cloud-based environments. Strong technical troubleshooting skills, networking fundamentals, Microsoft 365 expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with end users and leadership are essential for success in this role. Essential Duties: (Additional duties may be assigned as required.) • Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect computer networks, systems, and data, including access controls, monitoring, and best practices., • Responsible for evaluating, testing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting all hardware and software components to ensure reliability and usability, including maintaining documentation and proper software licensing., • Responsible for mobile device management (MDM), including device provisioning, security policies, and ongoing support., • Responsible for camera surveillance systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting., • Responsible for Microsoft 365 environments, including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, backups, permissions, and user management., • Responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and reporting solutions using Power BI to improve operational efficiency and visibility., • Assist in identifying and supporting opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline business processes and improve user productivity., • Responsible for various IT projects, including cloud migrations, network infrastructure improvements, system integrations, cylinder configurator support, barcoding systems, and other technology initiatives. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI; modern Windows Server and cloud-based environments (Azure/Microsoft 365); SQL and database fundamentals; basic scripting or coding (e.g., PowerShell, SQL, JavaScript) to support automation and reporting; networking fundamentals and network troubleshooting; endpoint and mobile device management (MDM) for Windows, iOS, and Android devices; IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and virus/malware protection; business application and configurator software; CRM or line-of-business systems; AI-enabled productivity and automation tools (such as Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform AI features); and standard productivity and collaboration tools. Experience supporting IT projects, documentation, and end-user troubleshooting is required. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Strong networking fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic firewall concepts., • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system issues across a variety of environments., • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Apps, and related administration tools., • Working knowledge of iOS and Android devices, including configuration, troubleshooting, and mobile device management (MDM)., • Basic to intermediate coding or scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, SQL, JavaScript, or similar) to support automation, reporting, and system integration., • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and automation technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform AI features, or similar) and the ability to apply them to improve support processes and operational efficiency., • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to support both end users and IT initiatives. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, manage, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, technical documentation, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate and present information, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to identify and solve day-to-day problems involving multiple factors in situations that may not always have clear or standardized solutions. Comfortable understanding and following instructions provided verbally, in writing, through diagrams, or via schedules. In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.
