Legal Assistant The Legal Assistant supports the Legal department with a high degree of autonomy, providing assistance across a broad range of corporate legal matters. This role functions as a senior-level legal support professional, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to ensure effective legal operations, compliance, and governance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Perform and support a variety of law-related activities that do not require a law degree, including contract administration, document preparation and review, analysis, and citation checking., • Serve as a generalist within the Legal Support function, with responsibilities spanning multiple legal disciplines., • Manage correspondence with internal and external counsel; administer legal department invoicing, budget tracking, and processing; maintain legal department files; submit required filings and reports to government agencies and courts; maintain legal calendars; schedule and coordinate meetings; attend meetings, record minutes, and track departmental activities for management reporting., • Maintain, revise, and update corporate policies and procedures., • Organize, track, and maintain customer and supplier agreements, including electronic and physical contract files, revisions, and drafts., • Prepare, review, and update corporate governance documents under the supervision of the legal team, including entity formations, registrations, and related filings. Support corporate secretarial activities such as shareholder and board meetings, powers of attorney, resolutions, signature tracking, and maintenance of corporate minute books., • Manage docketing systems for active litigation and support legal counsel with case assessments, discovery activities, and litigation-related documentation., • Support legal, HR, and employee relations teams with risk assessments, compliance matters, data gathering, and analysis; coordinate with internal stakeholders on compliance intake and administration., • Track and manage UCC filings, respond to information requests, and maintain real estate-related documentation., • Actively participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience., • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a legal or compliance environment., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (2016 or newer)., • Strong ability to manage deadlines and prioritize work across multiple stakeholders., • Excellent verbal, written, and professional communication skills., • High level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external partners., • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills., • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including sitting for extended periods, occasional standing or lifting up to 25 pounds, and close visual work, with reasonable accommodations available.
