Job Description About the Role We’re looking for a strong, hands-on Lead Shift Production Supervisor for our 3rd Shift to lead our manufacturing shift with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and team development. This role is ideal for an experienced injection molding leader who can balance floor leadership with performance execution, while building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for achieving shift performance goals, coaching employees, enforcing policies, and ensuring consistent execution of standard work and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities As our Lead Shift Production Supervisor, you will: Safety, Quality & Operational Execution • Lead the shift to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies., • Maintain quality standards by ensuring process parameters are met and followed., • Ensure proper initial set-up and continuous monitoring of assigned processes., • Allocate and manage manpower for hourly employees across the shift., • Monitor staffing and make adjustments at start-up, during shift, and at end of shift to ensure optimum earned hours., • Direct production activity to ensure continuous flow and support in the molding bay., • Ensure employees receive proper training and that training documentation is maintained., • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance direction to strengthen skill and morale., • Manage and direct all employees on the assigned shift., • Enforce company policies and apply discipline when necessary., • Promote a culture of respect, collaboration, and accountability. Required Qualifications • High School Diploma (minimum), • 7–9 years of experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment, • 5–6 years operating injection molding machinery, • Previous experience managing employees in an injection molding environment, • Understanding of standard work procedures and manufacturing processes, • Familiarity with IATF 16949 policies, procedures, and work instructions, • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, • Competent PC skills (Windows, Word) Preferred Qualifications • Some college or technical education (management, supervision, or manufacturing-related coursework), • Safety-related training, • First Time Quality & Standards experience, • Confident, assertive, proactive leadership style, • Strong people leadership skills with a team-oriented approach Physical Requirements This role requires frequent time on the production floor and includes: • Standing and walking for prolonged periods, • Pushing/pulling and occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and gripping, • Lifting and carrying plastic parts (generally not exceeding 10 lbs) Why Join Us This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you can make a real impact on: ✅ Safety culture ✅ Quality performance ✅ Shift productivity ✅ Employee engagement and team development If you’re a confident injection molding leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to lead a shift with pride — we’d love to talk with you.
