Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a full-time, on-site Safety and Equipment Instructor to lead competency-based learning and assessments for a diverse group of learners. This dynamic role focuses on fostering development in safety and regulatory training as well as light-duty equipment operation and maintenance. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction using a variety of teaching methods across classroom, outdoor, and online settings., • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and government regulations (e.g., OSHA)., • Operate and instruct on common equipment used in workshops and industrial environments, including:, • Commercial tractor with trailer, • Overhead hoisting equipment, • Flex Track Tractor/Dozer, • Skid Steer, • Aerial Work Platform (AWP), • Forklifts, • Hand and power tools, • Interpret and familiarize students with operator safety manuals, warning decals, and placards., • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, including required certifications/licensing and instructional technology., • Uphold a strong safety record through consistent implementation of safety standards., • Establish and maintain positive, professional, and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners., • Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results in the company’s learning management system., • Utilize intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications., • Communicate effectively with individuals and groups, demonstrating strong presentation skills. Required Qualifications • Minimum age of 21., • Valid driver’s license in continuous effect for at least 5 years., • Two (2) years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience within classification in the last three (3) years., • Clean driving record with no suspensions or revocations in the past five (5) years., • Ability to pass or provide a current criminal history and driving record check., • Strong background in adult classroom training, equipment operation, maintenance, and instructional facilitation. Preferred Qualifications (if any) • Prior experience in safety and regulatory training programs., • Experience delivering instruction across multiple formats (classroom, outdoor, online)., • Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learner needs. Certifications (if any) • Occupational certifications/licensing relevant to equipment operation and safety training., • OSHA or other regulatory compliance certifications preferred. Required Education • Associate degree in a related field OR equivalent degree based on verified work experience combined with applicable education and training., • Minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of recent, related occupational experience outside the field of education.
