Job Description We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our engineering team in OC Civil - Newport Beach, CA This position offers a fantastic opportunity for civil engineers to further their skills and take on increased responsibility within our collaborative, innovative environment. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects with a focus on design, analysis, and consulting, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects. • Assist in Civil Engineering Design Projects: Assist in the design and preparation of engineering plans, drawings, and specifications. Contribute to design elements on civil engineering projects, including site planning, grading, drainage, and utility design, under the guidance of senior engineers., • Perform and Prepare Engineering Calculations and Documentation: Perform basic engineering calculations, prepare detailed drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other tools; support the preparation of technical reports., • Conduct Site Assessments and Data Collection: Perform site visits to collect data, verify existing site conditions. Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure accurate information is incorporated into the design. Prepare site notes and notes to support project documentation. Conduct site observations during construction to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications., • Support Project Coordination and Compliance: Support project schedules, documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance; assist with permitting processes and interact with regulatory bodies as needed.Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including site planning, grading, drainage, water and wastewater systems, and roadways., • Working knowledge in engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or HydroCAD., • Working knowledge current California Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, American with Disabilities Act, local regulations & standards, and other design and construction standards applicable to major site development projects in California, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clients., • EIT or ability to obtain EIT certification within 6 months., • Experience in land development projects, including residential, commercial, or industrial sites., • Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency requirements and permits. Additional Information Physical Demands and Work Environment • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits., • Capacity to move around project sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain.
