The Director of IT is accountable for stabilizing and operationalizing MegaMex's ERP and legacy systems by restoring system reliability, delivery discipline, and business trust. This position must build foundational processes, teams, and vendor controls required to move MegaMex from reactive execution to predictable performance, Accountable for setting up the IT strategy and executing it based on budget and prioritization, Major End Results (Primary Duties): 1, Stabilization & Execution (Primary Focus): Take full ownership of day-to-day operations across all MegaMex's ERP and legacy systems, Reduce incidents, escalations, and delivery volatility, Establish clear accountability for systems, vendors, and teams, Drive root-cause resolution—not workarounds, Ensure production stability across core platforms (e.g., ERP, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial systems) 2, Delivery Discipline & Governance: Implement basic but effective delivery governance (prioritization, intake, execution tracking), Move the organization from reactive to planned delivery, ensure commitments are realistic and met, Introduce standard operating rhythms (weekly ops, monthly reviews), 3, Business Partnership & Trust Building: Act as the primary IT point of contact for senior business stakeholders, translate business needs into executable technology plans, reset expectations where needed—firmly and transparently, rebuild credibility by consistently delivering on commitments 4, Vendor & Cost Management: Take ownership of key vendor relationships and performance, Renegotiating scope, service level agreements, and accountability where necessary, reduce over-dependence on vendors through better internal ownership, manage and optimize a significant IT operating budget, 5, Team Leadership & Capability Building: Lead and develop managers and senior individual contributors, Address skill gaps and performance issues decisively, Clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision rights, Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement, 6, Foundation for Future Strategy: Create a pragmatic long-term roadmap focused on stability and incremental improvement, identify technical debt and systemic risks, partner with the Sr, Director of IT on long-term modernization planning, ensure today’s fixes do not create tomorrow's problems, QUALIFICATIONS Supervisory Responsibilities: 5 direct reports currently, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems, Education and/or Experience: Holds a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, with an advanced degree such as an MBA or master's in information systems preferred but not required, The role requires 10 or more years of progressive IT experience, including demonstrated leadership at the senior manager or director level with responsibility for enterprise systems, teams, budgets, and vendors, Prior experience stabilizing underperforming or highly reactive IT environments is essential, along with a proven track record supporting core business operations in complex settings such as CPG, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industries, The ideal candidate brings hands-on operational credibility, strong people leadership, and the judgment gained from managing incidents, trade-offs, and large- scale delivery under pressure, Language Skills: Demonstrate strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely translate complex technical issues, risks, and trade-offs into plain business language for senior stakeholders, This role requires calm, structured communication during incidents and high-pressure situations, as well as the ability to firmly and transparently set and reset expectations around scope, priorities, and timelines, The Director must communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate and enforce service level agreements, collaborate across supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and commercial teams with varying levels of technical understanding, and produce clear written materials such as operational documentation, executive summaries, and decision memos that drive alignment and accountability, Professional conflict management, change communication, and the ability to explain the "why" behind stabilizing actions are essential to building trust and restoring confidence in IT, Spanish preferred, Computer Skills: Must possess strong, practical computer and technical skills, with hands-on experience overseeing enterprise systems in complex environments, This includes a solid understanding of ERP platforms (Business Central a must), core business applications, infrastructure, cloud and on-prem environments, cybersecurity fundamentals, and data integrations, enabling informed decision-making and effective oversight without being the primary technical implementer, The role requires proficiency with IT service management tools, incident and change management processes, reporting and collaboration platforms, Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen, The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms, The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
