Job DescriptionSalary: $50,000-$60,000 Lucky Goat Coffee is a specialty coffee production roaster based out of Tallahassee, Florida and making waves nationally. Since opening in 2010, Lucky Goat Coffee has continued to remain focused on the expansion of the brand through exceptional customer interactions and company specialization. On the journey towards greater specialization, the Finance Administrator position has been created. The Finance Administrator is a vital part of the team requiring strong communication skills and a high degree of accuracy to ensure the company remains in a strong financial state. This position daily maintains financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Primary Function The Finance Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and financial integrity of Lucky Goat Coffee, across all business units and legal entities. This role owns the general ledger, monthly close, financial reporting, and core accounting processes, while partnering closely with ownership and leadership on visibility, accuracy, and decision support. This is a working Finance Administrator role: hands-on, detail-oriented, and operationally connected, with the opportunity to grow alongside the business. In addition to traditional financial operations, this role will also encompass administrative operations for the business such as insurance policy management, lease renewals, and the conducting of audits. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus) and/or 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial reporting, • Experience in multi-location retail, manufacturing/production, food & beverage, or vertically integrated businesses strongly preferred, • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (desktop) or similar accounting systems, • Demonstrated ability to prepare, analyze, and explain financial statements, • High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving environment, • Coachable, collaborative, and aligned with a customer-first, team-oriented culture, • Absolute discretion and integrity when handling confidential information Job Description • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations - including all daily bookkeeping, • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and prepare timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with variance analysis, • Ensure proper revenue recognition across cafs, wholesale, e-commerce, and other sales channels in accordance with applicable GAAP accounting standards, • Complete all Sales Tax Returns and other related Tax Returns in conjunction with CPA., • Integrate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash application, including vendor management, invoicing, collections, and deposits alongside the Wholesale and Retail Operations departments., • Oversee payroll accounting, benefits reconciliations, payroll-related accruals, and coordination with internal HR department, • Support inventory accounting for all items alongside the Purchasing Department, • Support cost accounting, margin analysis, and profitability reporting across roasting, wholesale, and caf operations, • Establish, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls appropriate for a growing, multi-entity organization, • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax filings, regulatory requirements, and company policies, • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and auditor communications, • Manage administrative financial operations, including insurance policies, renewals, claims coordination, and broker relationships, • Track and support administrative oversight of leases, including renewal timelines, rate changes, and coordination with ownership, • Serve as the primary accounting liaison with external CPAs, tax advisors, insurance brokers, and other professional service providers, • Oversee annual budget and ad-hoc financial analysis in partnership with ownership and leadership, • Identify and implement process improvements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, • Maintain strict confidentiality and provide cross-functional financial support to operational teams as needed, • Perform other related accounting, financial, and administrative duties to support the companys growth and stability Reporting This position reports directly to the Owner and works closely with the Senior Leadership Team.
