Job DescriptionDescription: Since 1993, the attorneys of Isaacs & Isaacs have fought for injured victims in the states of Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. With over $2 BILLION collected for clients, Darryl Isaacs and the Isaacs team continue to call out big insurance companies, businesses, and individuals looking to make money off from victims injured in car crashes, truck accidents, commercial vehicles accidents, and wrongful death cases. Under the direction and supervision of Management, the Pre-Litigation Paralegal provides paraprofessional legal support to attorneys and clients in all stages of the pre-litigation process to ensure timely management and progression of the file while striving to exceed our client expectations through diligence and efficiencies. This position is ideally a hybrid position with 2 to 3 days per week on-site. This position reports directly to the Manager of Pre-Litigation. Duties & Responsibilities: • Entering new files in Case Management System (File Vine)., • Gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents. Enter pertinent information into client files such as MVA details, insurance, property damage and medical providers., • Fully investigate each case and document findings in File Vine., • Maintain regular contact with clients., • Verify all potential insurance coverage and maintain contact with all insurance carriers., • Manage medical care of clients including request/obtain all medical documentation and Medical Management while the client is still in treatment., • Explain MVA claim procedures to clients., • Prepare documents and correspondence such as demand letters, billing inquiries, etc., • Manage and process all correspondence to and from clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, etc. Including demand and mediation packages, IME’s and claim status updates to clients, insurance carriers and lien holders/medical providers., • Obtain PIP payment ledgers, Med pay payment ledgers, and subrogation liens on a regular basis., • Relay settlement negotiation from attorney to clients and adjusters utilizing demands/offers in client file., • Collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills, subrogation liens, loss of income and property damage., • Assist the client with their property damage claim., • Organize and maintain case files., • Diary files using File Vine to work each file at least every 2-3 weeks., • Medical Insurance, • Dental Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Flexible schedule, • Flexible spending account, • Health savings account with bi-weekly employer contributions, • Group Life and AD&D insurance (employee, spouse, child(ren) employer paid), • Voluntary Life (employee, spouse, child(ren) employee paid), • STD & LTD (employer paid), • Referral Bonus Program, • 401(k) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements: Position Requirements: • Must have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment., • Must have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact., • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines., • Must be able to prioritize work and work under pressure., • Must be well organized and detail oriented., • Must be familiar with relevant laws as it applies to personal injury claims, motor vehicle accidents and insurance in KY, IN, or OH., • Must have exceptional communication and written skills., • Must have computer skills including knowledge of Word and Excel software and Microsoft Outlook., • Knowledge of medical terms and traumatically induced conditions is helpful., • Knowledge of insurance coverage types and policies is helpful., • Full-Time Position (40 hours required)., • Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience required., • Paralegal certificate a plus.
