Job Description Job Title: NDT Technician Assistant Job Description The Assistant Technician will assist the Level II NDT Technician with designated NDT method activities while gaining valuable experience and knowledge. Responsibilities • Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment., • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and overall upkeep of equipment and facilities., • Assist with proper documentation and reports of services provided., • Learn and abide by company policies and procedures., • Operate radiographic equipment under the direct supervision of a radiographer or radiographic instructor., • Maintain constant surveillance and immediate control of industrial radiographic equipment when in use., • Secure industrial radiographic equipment from unauthorized removal when not in use., • Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted area boundaries while equipment is in use., • Provide required notifications to appropriate safety management personnel in the event of an incident and assist as needed., • Willingness to learn, • Interest in gaining experience as an NDT Technician, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record., • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks, • Effective communication skills with clients, supervisors, and co-workers., • Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred., • Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellabell, Georgia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
