Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, including injection molding machines, automated and manned paint booths, robots, extruder systems, and diecasting assembly machines, along with all associated support equipment. This role ensures reliable operation of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems by conducting thorough inspections, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing timely repairs. The technician also conducts and documents water and air quality tests, uses precision test and measuring equipment, and safely handles and stores chemicals and industrial lubricants. Responsibilities • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on injection molding machines, automated and manned paint booths, robots, extruder systems, diecasting assembly machines, and related support equipment., • Inspect, remove, install, align, and lubricate bearings, gears, belts, and chains according to established procedures and standards., • Conduct and document water and air quality tests to support reliable and safe operation of production equipment., • Use precision test and measuring equipment to diagnose equipment performance, verify tolerances, and ensure accurate adjustments., • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions., • Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems at the component level, including boards, sensors, and control modules., • Apply knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory to diagnose and resolve issues in power and control circuits., • Troubleshoot and perform basic programming or parameter adjustments on various PLC systems, contributing to control system reliability., • Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic systems at the component level, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and related controls., • Troubleshoot and repair complex pneumatic systems at the component level, including air valves, actuators, and regulators., • Troubleshoot control, injection, chilled water, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of polyurethane molding equipment at the component level., • Troubleshoot control, injection, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of various injection machines at the component level, including equipment from manufacturers such as Rauch, Buhler, UBE, and support robots from Rimrock., • Troubleshoot control, injection, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of various injection machines at the component level for extruder and related equipment, including associated haul-off conveyors, cooling systems, and cutters., • Access and manipulate PLC programs for various manufacturers to support troubleshooting, parameter changes, and equipment optimization., • Handle and store chemicals and industrial lubricants safely and in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements., • Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repairs., • Use knowledge of temperature controllers and thermocouples to diagnose and correct temperature-related issues in production processes., • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and test results accurately to support traceability, continuous improvement, and compliance., • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Essential Skills, • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment., • At least 2 years of electrical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment., • At least 1 year of PLC troubleshooting or PLC control experience., • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems., • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic systems at the component level., • Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory and its application to industrial equipment., • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming or parameter adjustments., • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation., • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems at the component level., • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex pneumatic systems at the component level., • Ability to troubleshoot control, injection, chilled water, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on molding and injection equipment., • Experience using precision test and measuring equipment for diagnostics and verification., • Capability to conduct and document water and air quality tests in an industrial setting., • Knowledge of proper inspection, removal, installation, alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, and chains., • Ability to handle and store chemicals and industrial lubricants safely and correctly., • Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions., • Effective communication skills to work with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Familiarity with various PLC platforms and programming environments., • Experience with temperature controllers and thermocouple-based systems., • Comfort working with DC drives and associated control systems., • Exposure to injection molding, polyurethane molding, and extruder systems., • Experience working with robots and automated systems in a manufacturing environment., • Ability to adapt to new technologies and equipment as the facility grows., • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities., • Commitment to safety practices and adherence to established
