POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Media Operations is responsible for the day-to-day execution and management of media activities, with a strong focus on digital media, in support of New York City Tourism + Conventions marketing campaigns and member-focused programs, including, but not limited to NYC Restaurant Week and NYC Broadway Week. This role serves as the primary day-to-day manager of external media agency partners, ensuring timely delivery of approved media plans, accurate performance reporting, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders. The role focuses on campaign execution, agency management, performance monitoring, and budget tracking. Experience in setting KPIs, evaluating campaign performance, generating insights from these data points and disseminating these insights to internal stakeholders will be critical to success in this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Media Campaign Execution & Agency Management • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for external media agency partners, managing deliverables, timelines, reporting, and adherence to approved media plans, • Review agency outputs for quality, accuracy, and alignment with approved plans Performance Monitoring & Reporting • Monitor campaign performance against established KPIs, • Prepare regular performance summaries and reports for internal stakeholders, • Support insight development by compiling data, trends, and findings for review by senior leadership Budget Tracking & Reconciliation • Track and reconcile media budgets across campaigns and programs, • Ensure spend aligns with approved budgets and flag variances or risks as needed, • Support internal budget reporting and documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with internal marketing, digital, project management, and content teams to support integrated campaign execution, • Maintain clear communication, documentation, and timelines to ensure alignment across teams KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Marketing or a related field, • 5+ years of experience in media buying, planning, or agency management, either in-house or at an agency, • Experience managing external vendors or agency partners and overseeing execution of media channels including Paid Social, Programmatic Display, OLV, OTT/CTV, Search, Audio,, • Experience with Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, and/or similar performance dashboards., • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a solid understanding of key marketing metrics., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Comfort working with budgets, performance metrics, and reporting, • Ability to distill complex information and communicate it clearly, • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across internal teams, • Passion for New York City and a commitment to supporting the Citys tourism ecosystem We offer a competitive benefits package including: • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office (Tues/Wed required + 1 flex day); Fridays remote., • Generous Time Off: PTO Bank (personal, sick, and vacation), • Holidays: up to 12 paid company holidays, plus extended Winter Break., • Floating Holiday: 1 per year, front-loaded., • Healthcare: Premium medical, dental, and vision plans, plus HRA., • Retirement & Development: Retirement savings plan and professional development opportunities., • Perks: Cell phone credit to subsidize your plan and a monthly commuter allowance.
