The Branch Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring all branch operations are safe, efficient, accurate, and customer focused. This includes managing warehouse, logistics, inventory, customer service, sales coordination, team performance, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards (OSHA, DOT, etc.). We are seeking a well-rounded leader who is both sales-driven and operationally strong—someone who can grow the business externally while effectively managing and developing a team internally as sales increase. This role requires balancing proactive business development with strong operational discipline—equally comfortable building relationships to drive sales and coaching teams to excellence once those relationships turn into active accounts. The ideal candidate will have previous branch management experience, thrive in a team-first environment, and have a passion for leadership, customer service, and sales/operational excellence. Sales & Customer Growth Responsibilities • Sales Ability & Persuasiveness: Promote stocked products, leverage vendor partnerships, and build long-term customer relationships to support branch growth. Actively pursue new business through jobsite visits, contractor outreach, and relationship-building efforts to expand branch revenue., • Customer Focus: Understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and maintain strong business relationships across diverse customer types. Work closely with Territory Managers and the Sales team to grow existing accounts and identify new revenue opportunities, • Customer Experience Oversight: Monitor service levels, resolve escalations, and ensure customers receive an exceptional experience at every touchpoint. Moved earlier in the list to align under customer and sales functions. Leadership & Team Management Responsibilities • Team Leadership and Development: Train, mentor, and coach team members. Conduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, and cultivate a culture of accountability and growth., • Culture Building: Lead by example and uphold the company’s mission, values, and standards., • Contributing to Team Success: Collaborate across departments, delegate appropriately, and maintain a positive, supportive presence., • Leading Through Vision & Values: Embody the company’s mission and values while balancing customer and organizational needs., • Managing Work: Demonstrate strong time management, maintain organized work areas, and follow through on open tasks and orders., • Cross Departmental Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the branch and HR, Finance, Sales, and senior leadership., • Navigating Within the Organization: Utilize internal systems, networks, and resources effectively to achieve results., • Technical/Professional Knowledge & Skills: Maintain product and industry knowledge, understand competitor offerings, and use ERP/WMS systems to support informed decision-making. Operational Responsibilities • Oversee Daily Branch Operations: Provide strategic oversight of warehouse, logistics, customer service, and administrative functions to ensure efficient, accurate, and customer-centric operations. Repositioned under operational duties due to presence of a tenured Warehouse Manager., • Facility Management: Ensure the branch is clean, organized, and well-maintained., • Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies. Conduct audits and provide staff training., • Process Improvement: Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to support operational excellence while maintaining focus on sales growth and team leadership.
