Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY American Soy Products, (ASP) has a great opportunity available to join a growing company with a great culture. We are actively recruiting for our newly created role: IT Support Administrator. This role reports to the corporate IT Manager of Morgan Foods, Inc (Austin, IN), the parent company for ASP. The IT Support Administrator serves as the hands-on technical resource for our Saline, MI manufacturing facility and their affiliated warehouses. The primary focus of the role is to maintain reliable operations of network infrastructure, server systems, and end-user capabilities. The value of this role is to ensure maximum operational "uptime" for seamless business operations. The ideal candidate will thrive as an independent contributor, while a member of a larger corporate IT team. Candidates will combine their strong networking and Microsoft infrastructure expertise with the ability to support diverse operational technology needs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ROLE SUMMARY: Network Infrastructure • Assist with design, implementation, and maintenance of plant network infrastructure including switches and wireless systems, • Configure and manage VLANs, trunking, and network segmentation for production and business systems, • Install, terminate, and troubleshoot network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 copper and fiber optic troubleshooting), • Monitor network performance and proactively address connectivity issues to minimize production impact, • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems across wired and wireless infrastructure, • Collaborate with Manager of IS on firewall, VPN, and security configurations, • Support network connectivity for plant automation systems and industrial equipment, • Document network topology, configurations, and procedures Server & Systems Administration • Administer Windows Server environment including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP, • Maintain virtualization infrastructure and perform regular server updates/patches, • Manage file servers and NAS systems for plant operations and data storage, • Monitor system health and implement security hardening and remediation as directed, • Perform server maintenance during scheduled windows to minimize operational impact, • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups in corporate directory systems, • Coordinate with corporate IT on domain management and infrastructure standards Microsoft 365 & End-User Support • Administer Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, • Provide technical support for Windows and Mac endpoints throughout device lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement), • Manage software licensing, asset inventory, and hardware tracking, • Process and resolve helpdesk tickets with timely communication and documentation, • Support mobile device management via MDM platform, • Install and troubleshoot SAP client software and resolve basic user access issues Supporting Duties: • Support plant automation systems with focus on network connectivity and basic troubleshooting, • Maintain forklift and industrial endpoint connectivity and basic support, • Maintain SPS Software (LIMS) installations and database for QA, • Support FileMaker client installations and basic troubleshooting, • Coordinate with IT Security Administrator on compliance initiatives and security remediation, • Provide IT support for offsite warehousing and affiliated locations, • Assist corporate IT team during peak periods or special projects as requested, • Participate in technology infrastructure improvement projects, • Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers, • Stay current with IT technologies, best practices, and security trends relevant to manufacturing environments Physical Requirements: This role will require work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with the following physical requirements: standing & walking on hard floors, bending at waist, reaching above head, twisting, climbing stairs & ladders, using hands & fingers. PPE Requirements may include noise protection, slip protection. Work Environment: Manufacturing/Warehouse facilities 50% - not climate controlled; Office 50% - climate controlled. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or Associate's degree plus 3+ years of relevant IT experience, or HS diploma/equivalent plus 5+ years of progressive IT experience, • 3-5 years hands-on experience at Enterprise level IT role Technical Skills "Must Haves" • Strong networking knowledge: VLANs, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Enterprise level network equipment, • Proficiency with network cable installation and termination (copper and fiber), • Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, file services), • Virtualization platform experience, • Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting, • Experience managing Windows and Mac endpoints in enterprise environment, • Working knowledge of network security concepts and best practices, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with systematic troubleshooting approach, • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills, • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and prioritize, • Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information appropriately Other Qualifications: "Nice To Haves: • Industry certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, Cisco CCNA, etc., • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment, • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, • Experience with plant automation systems, SCADA, or industrial control networks, • Knowledge of IoT device management and integration, • Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems, • Previous helpdesk or IT support ticketing system experience Candidate Note: 1.
