The Experience As Senior Buyer at Marissa Collections, you will: Buying & Market Leadership • Lead all buying activities from market preparation through post-market execution, • Execute seasonal market trips, overseeing buying strategy, scheduling, and team participation, • Prepare and manage seasonal budgets throughout the buying process, including category-level analysis and vendor-specific allocations, • Analyze seasonal sell-through, inventory performance, and on-hand metrics (visual and financial), • Oversee appointment planning, brand recaps, and market strategy development Product Selection & Purchase Order Management • Oversee work orders, photo review, product feedback, editing, and assortment decisions, • Direct sizing strategy, order placement, and purchase order execution across all systems (MC, Joor, NuOrder, etc.), • Ensure timely PO submission, allocation, and documentation, • Partner closely with inventory to coordinate tracking, fulfillment, and timely deliveries Reporting, Analytics & Financial Strategy • Analyze category sell-through reports across RTW, footwear, handbags, and accessories, • Monitor Power BI dashboards daily to evaluate performance and identify opportunities, • Partner with Store Leaders to drive actions based on best and under-performing categories, • Provide vendor performance recaps, sales analysis, and inventory insights to leadership, • Support seasonal budget planning, forecasting, and financial strategy Vendor & Industry Leadership • Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships, • Research and identify emerging designers and market trends, • Monitor competitive landscape and provide insight on local and national competition, • Negotiate terms, discounts, co-op marketing, and delivery timelines Sales, Styling & Floor Engagement • Maintain regular presence on the sales floor to stay connected to client experience and product performance, • Assist stylists with fittings, styling, and product knowledge, • Partner with Store Leadership to ensure merchandising and presentation standards Inventory, Shipping & Quality Control • Review and approve RTVs and damages in partnership with Inventory, • Oversee shipping requests, cancellations, and past-due merchandise, • Coordinate solutions across Inventory, Web, Marketing, and Buying teams, • Negotiate delivery extensions and markdown support when needed Events, Marketing & Campaign Strategy • Assist with planning of company-wide events across all categories, • Plan seasonal event calendars in collaboration with Store Managers and Marketing, • Coordinate with vendors on product selection, event strategy, and co-op support, • Assist with event execution and attend key events, • Provide monthly campaign guidance to Web and Marketing teams, including product launches, trend insights, and storytelling direction Team Leadership & Development • Lead, mentor, and develop Buyers and Assistant Buyers, • Train team members on buying processes, systems, and strategic thinking, • Support daily execution, providing guidance, feedback, and leadership in a fast-paced environment What You Bring • Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer in luxury fashion retail, • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams, • Deep understanding of luxury buying, assortment planning, and inventory strategy, • Advanced knowledge of retail math, including margin planning, open-to-buy, sell-through, and inventory productivity, • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities, • Confident communication style, • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and manage competing priorities, • High level of accountability, ownership, and professional maturity, • Proficiency in retail systems including Retail Pro, Joor, NuOrder, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Compensation & Benefits This is a full-time position.
