JOB SUMMARY: Capital's Logistics Department is seeking a Yard Helper to support daily yard operations and assist with organizing, staging, and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment used by field crews. This position plays an important role in ensuring crews receive the materials and equipment they need to keep projects running efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced construction and utility environment that requires reliability, organization, and a strong work ethic. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist with loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials for field crews, • Organize and maintain the yard, ensuring materials and equipment are stored properly, • Stage materials and tools for upcoming jobs and deliveries, • Assist with receiving and verifying deliveries from vendors, • Help track and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, • Perform basic inspections of tools and equipment and report any issues, • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment, • Support the logistics and fleet team with general yard duties as needed, • Work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions, • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred, • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor, • Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions, • Strong work ethic and reliability, • Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials preferred, • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, • Competitive pay, • Steady, year-round work, • Opportunity to grow within a structured logistics division, • Professional and supportive work environment, • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, • Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay, • Eligibility for ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) – This allows you to have shares and ownership in the company, • 401K, • Health Savings Account for medical costs
