Job Description Position: Afterschool Teacher Assistant Reports to: Program Director Location: PS 21 - Crispus Attucks Elementary School, 180 Chauncey Street 11233 Salary Range: $20.00/hour - $20.00/hour Hours: Part Time - Hourly; During the school year - Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Holiday camp from 8:00am - 6:00pm for 13 days per school year when DOE is closed. These are positions that are based at a central school but expected to float across various schools as needed for coverage. Responsibilities: * Work with the lead teacher to implement hands-on, multi-sensory, and project-based lessons and activities to children, which are provided in the context of academically stimulating lessons based on the thematic curriculum. * Submit lesson plans to the program site director and Education Specialist for approval according to submission schedule. * Work with the lead teacher to plan lessons related to field trips and help provide supervision to students during field trips. * Participate in curriculum and other professional development trainings as required. * Working under the supervision of the lead teacher and site director, use creative / innovative teaching strategies that enhance and encourage an increase in literacy skills, social-emotional learning, and STEAM. * Work with the lead teacher to develop and plan culminating event activities that will showcase learning and creativity. * Engage and communicate with parents and families as required by the site director. * Provided effective supervision for up to 20 students during classroom activities and transitions. * Monitor authorized parent / guardian pick up of children. * Assist the lead teacher with preparation of activities and materials for the daily schedule. * Participate in agency-wide groups and meetings as required * Assist with development of funding proposals as needed * Other tasks as may be required. Qualifications: * High School Diploma required. Job Description We're partnering with a well established, NYC-based real estate owner/operator that has grown into a vertically integrated group of companies with a long-standing reputation in development, construction, and management. The business is performing exceptionally well, has a deep project pipeline, and is now looking to add an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations across its affordable housing portfolio. Reporting into the VP of Accounting, this hire will take ownership of monthly accounting close activities, oversee property-level reporting and revenue processes, and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. It's a hands-on role, managing one direct report, with a path toward stepping into the VP's role in the coming years. This role will be 5 days per week in office for the first 90 days, before dropping to 4 days per week. Job Description Position Summary: Hamilton-Madison House (HMH) is the leading provider of behavioral health services for New York City’s Asian community and the second largest provider in the country. HMH serves nearly 1,000 community members through a comprehensive program model that understands and incorporates the strengths of individual cultures and addresses the stigma related to mental illness. Services range from psychological services; personalized recovery-oriented services for individuals with mental illness; recovery programming for addiction in six languages and seven dialects; supportive housing for people with mental health issues; and training and internship opportunities for graduate students in social work, mental health counseling, and psychology. Our team of over 40 full-time and 16 part-time staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian. HMH is hiring for a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician responsible for direct clinical work with clients in the outpatient mental health clinic, with a priority focus on those in the CONNECT program. The BH Clinician will also be responsible for coordinating and accessing care for their clients.
