Job Description Position Title: Legal Assistant - Trust & Estates Location: Houston, TX Assignment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 / Annually Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8- 5 pm Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Position Summary Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys handling trusts, estates, probate, and related matters. This role supports document preparation, court filings, client communication, and case management while handling sensitive information with discretion and accuracy. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, revise, and format estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments, • Assist with probate and trust administration matters, including court filings and deadline tracking, • Draft and file pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and correspondence, • Manage calendars, court deadlines, and case timelines, • Coordinate document execution, notarizations, and filing with courts, • Maintain organized electronic and physical client files, • Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties regarding document status and requirements, • Conduct basic legal research and support attorneys with administrative tasks Qualifications • 3–5+ years of experience as a legal assistant in trusts & estates or probate, • Strong knowledge of estate planning documents and probate procedures, • Experience with court filing systems and deadline management, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
