Position Description – What the Role Entails: The major function of the Security Officer is to maintain safe and secure environment for patients and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing: • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and permitting authorized entry., • Respond to emergencies and obtain help by sounding alarms or contacting law enforcement/first responders as necessary., • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, enforcing clinic policies, and addressing violations in a professional and respectful manner., • Document all activities by completing incident reports, recording observations, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures when appropriate., • Support facility safety by monitoring and maintaining building and equipment controls (e.g., alarms, doors, lighting)., • Ensure compliance with all legal, organizational, and regulatory requirements to maintain safety and stability., • Monitor and maintain a secure environment on the exterior of the building, ensuring safety for patients and staff during arrival and departure., • Contribute to team effort by assisting staff, supporting patient flow, and addressing safety concerns in a professional manner., • Perform additional related duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the MAR program., • Health insurance, • Dental & Vision insurance, • Life insurance, • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • 403(b) Retirement Plan, • Generous PTO (Paid time off)- Accrue up to 21 days in Year 1, some PTO carryover allowable., • Employee Assistance Program, • Professional Development Opportunities, • Employment may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. There may be occasions that call for an employee to carry out duties at other agency offices. Traveling to and from meetings is necessary. Schedule: • Monday – Friday 6:00AM- to 10:00AM, • English is required and (Bilingual Spanish is preferred) RINCON FAMILY SERVICES IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Requirements: The Knowledge and Expertise that Matters Most - What you bring to the Role: • Attention to Detail: Ability to stay alert, vigilant, and proactive in identifying potential safety risks., • Adaptability: Remains calm and resourceful in dynamic or stressful situations., • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively., • Professionalism: Maintains a courteous, respectful, and patient-centered approach when interacting with staff, patients, and visitors., • Customer Service Orientation: Creates a welcoming environment while balancing enforcement of safety protocols., • Team Collaboration: Works effectively with clinical staff, administrative teams, and leadership to support organizational safety and success., • Minimum of 21 years of age., • High school diploma or GED (required)., • Willing to participate in a pre-employment screening process (drug screen and, • background check)., • Prior experience in security, corrections, or military background required., • Experience working in a healthcare, patient-facing, or opioid treatment environment is a plus., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques (e.g., MOAB – Management of Aggressive Behavior)., • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound judgments in stressful situations., • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening (as required)., • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding opioid treatment programs and controlled substances is beneficial., • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
