Reports concerns to the Health Information Manager in a timely manner so as not to interfere with the completion of job responsibilities., • Maintains confidentiality of all health records in all formats by complying with all established Goodwin Living policies and procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements to ensure privacy and security of health records., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required., • Must have excellent computer skills., • High school diploma., • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others., • Previous experience in healthcare setting/ health information technology is highly desirable., • Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to follow guidelines., • Ability to perform job functions and communicate effectively while under pressure., • Familiar with medical terms and must be able to identify medical documents/records through a basic knowledge of medical terminology., • Must be knowledgeable about resident confidentiality and privacy requirements and familiar with HIPAA requirements.
