Job Description Mechanical Engineer II (Manufacturing)Location: Tulsa, OK Direct Hire Opportunity Send Resumes: Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000+ (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Position SummaryWe are seeking a results-driven Mechanical Engineer II to support and optimize manufacturing operations through robust engineering design, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, reliability, and scalability of production systems while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing environments, hands-on problem-solving ability, and a track record of implementing engineering solutions that reduce cost and improve throughput. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, assemblies, and production systems for manufacturability and performance, • Lead process optimization initiatives to improve cycle time, reduce waste, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), • Analyze production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.), • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges on the shop floor, • Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and specifications, • Support new product introduction (NPI) and transition from design to production, • Evaluate and select materials, equipment, and vendors to meet cost and performance targets, • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.), • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen events), • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and techniciansRequired Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, • 3–7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar), • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.), • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies, • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, • Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with automation, robotics, or production equipment design, • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher), • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, • Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace, medical, food production, etc.), • Project management experience or PMP certificationKey Competencies, • Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making, • Continuous improvement mindset, • Strong ownership and accountability, • Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCompensation & Benefits, • Competitive base salary ($110K+ depending on experience), • Performance-based bonuses, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with company match, • Paid time off and holidays, • Professional development and career growth opportunities
