Job Description Summary The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in the early childhood classroom in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This teacher assistant helps with classroom activities, supervision, lesson implementation, bulletin boards, and maintaining a positive, engaging atmosphere for all students. This could be a part-time or full-time position, depending on your schedule and the class needs. We would love to talk to you! Job placements are available at any of our 4 locations which includes 2 schools in Covington and Conyers. We offer the full range of education from early childhood to Private Pre-K-12th grade. Duties Key Responsibilities for Early Childhood Teacher AssistantsClassroom Support Instruction • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities., • Creativity is a plus because innovative learning means that children need to learn how to think outside of the box!, • Support children’s learning through small-group work, one-on-one instruction, and play-based interactions., • Reinforce positive behavior guidance techniques and classroom routines., • Help prepare materials, supplies, and learning centers for instruction.Child Supervision Care, • Ensure constant supervision and safety of all children, indoors and outdoors., • Assist with meals, snacks, hand washing, diapering, and toileting, following center policies and hygiene standards., • Cultivate a warm, responsive, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.Family Staff Communication, • Greet families and maintain positive, professional interactions., • Share observations with the Lead Teacher regarding children’s progress or concerns., • Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.Classroom Environment Organization, • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom., • Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements., • Participate in classroom setup, transitions, and daily routines.Team Collaboration, • Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and center staff., • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required., • Provide support in other classrooms when needed.
