Job Description Overview: Dutch Harbor Brands, a 35-year family-owned leader in sustainable cleaning and hygiene products, is seeking a Junior Digital & Packaging Designer to support our Senior Creative & Digital Production Specialist and Senior Marketing Manager across web, ecommerce, packaging, brand content, and light video production. This role is ideal for a designer with a solid foundation in web and graphic design—especially in Shopify—who wants to refine skills in packaging, digital content, and (optionally) 3D and video, while contributing to multiple successful online brands in a fast-growing, innovation-driven company. Role Details: You will primarily support day-to-day execution while steadily taking on more creative responsibility as you grow. You’ll help implement existing designs, keep assets organized and up to date, support online content creation (including basic video edits), and maintain a consistent visual standard across sites, product pages, and marketing materials. Over time, you’ll work more closely with the senior designer and senior marketing manager on brand development, campaign visuals, and select 3D and video projects. What you’ll do: • Implement and update web content and layouts within Shopify and related platforms (landing pages, PDPs, image galleries) using HTML/CSS and existing design systems., • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to produce and refine graphics and light video edits for campaigns, email, social media, and brand storytelling across our online channels., • Prepare, adapt, and organize assets (images, logos, copy, dielines) for packaging, ecommerce galleries, and marketing projects., • Support packaging design production by applying templates, updating variants (sizes/SKUs/bundles), and preparing files for review and print., • Produce and resize product images, banners, and graphics for Amazon, Shopify, brand sites, email, and social, following brand and campaign guidelines., • Maintain and update content on company websites (WordPress and/or Shopify), including swapping images, updating product details, and adding basic sections or pages., • Help build and refresh sell sheets and simple sales collateral using supplied copy, specs, and imagery., • Support trade show and event needs by updating signage and graphic assets from established templates and preparing files for vendors., • Maintain organized file structures, version control, and naming conventions for design, web, video, and 3D assets across shared drives., • Document recurring workflows and assist with testing new tools and AI-driven processes introduced by the senior designer and marketing team. Skills and qualifications Required: • Minimum 1–3 years of professional experience in graphic, digital, or web design, or equivalent freelance/internship experience with a strong portfolio., • Creative mindset with a strong desire to develop skills, take initiative, and stay motivated while growing into higher-level creative and technical responsibilities., • Demonstrated experience with web design and front-end implementation, including HTML and CSS; comfort working within Shopify themes or similar ecommerce platforms., • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for asset creation, layout, and production work., • Experience preparing graphics for web, social, or email campaigns (proper sizes, formats, and resolutions)., • Strong attention to detail, file organization, and version control; ability to follow templates, brand guidelines, and written instructions accurately., • Good communication skills and comfort collaborating with a senior designer and senior marketing manager, as well as cross-functional teams. Preferred: • Experience designing or preparing assets for Shopify storefronts, Amazon galleries, or other e-commerce environments., • Exposure to packaging design (dielines, print-ready files, or CPG design) and basic understanding of print production., • Familiarity with Cinema 4D or other 3D tools (or clear interest in learning 3D as part of your growth)., • Video production and editing skills (e.g., basic product or social videos, cutdowns, simple motion or text overlays) using tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar., • Experience preparing files for print (sell sheets, signage, labels, or packaging)., • Interest in experimenting with new software and AI tools to streamline creative and content workflows. How you’ll work: • Report directly to the Senior Creative & Digital Production Specialist, and collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Manager on campaigns and brand initiatives., • Focus on execution, maintenance, and consistency across digital, print, and video touchpoints, while gradually taking on more creative input and ownership in brand development., • Work with marketing, sales, and leadership on campaigns, product launches, and brand refreshes across multiple online properties., • Use shared templates, design systems, and file structures to keep work maintainable and efficient.
