Trainee Health & Safety Advisor – No Experience Required

The traineeship is completed in 4 easy steps, Step 1 - IOSH - Managing Safely Here you will learn about the basics of health and safety. Step 2 - NEBOSH Now you will decide whether you would like to study the NEBOSH General, Construction or the Fire Safety course, depending on the path that you intend your career to follow. You will have an expert tutor on hand if required. Step 3 - Risk Assessments You will write a series of risk assessments that need to be up to a workplace standard. This is a requirement to gain your NEBOSH certification. Step 4 - NEBOSH Exams The exams can be sat in one of the official NEBOSH testing centres, or online. (Online only currently available for general certificate). Your Job Upon Completion Once you have completed all of the mandatory training and exams, we will place you into an entry level health & safety role as either a advisor, officer or coordinator, where you will be guaranteed a starting salary of £25K-£45K. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality foot care, including nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, and polish application. You will ensure clients receive a relaxing and professional experience while adhering to hygiene standards and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide a range of professional pedicure services, including nail trimming, filing, shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, and moisturising treatments. - Apply nail polish, gel polish, and other nail treatments according to clients' preferences. - Offer foot massages as part of the pedicure service to promote relaxation. - Advise clients on aftercare and recommend appropriate products for foot and nail care. - Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations. - Sterilise and sanitise equipment after each client session. - Ensure client comfort and satisfaction, delivering exceptional customer service. - Stay updated with current pedicure trends, techniques, and new treatments in the industry. Key Skills & Requirements: - NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualification. - Proven experience as a Pedicure Technician or Nail Technician. - Excellent understanding of hygiene practices and infection control. - Ability to work with different nail conditions and provide solutions for common foot issues (e.g., cracked heels, ingrown nails). - Strong attention to detail with an artistic flair for nail polish application and nail art. - Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy salon environment. - Knowledge of retail products for nail and foot care is a plus.
