Sales Manager — Poultry Meat & Convenience Products About Natfood Natfood Limited is a UK-based food import and wholesale company and the exclusive UK distributor from Ukrainian supplier which has operated since 2001 and supplies poultry products to customers across the world. Through Natfood, we supply UK wholesalers, foodservice distributors, processors and selected retail and private-label partners with a full range of raw, semi-finished and convenience poultry products, including whole birds, primal cuts, portioned items, marinated lines and cooked deli formats. We are now scaling our UK commercial operation and building the team that will deliver our next phase of growth. The role We are looking for a Sales Manager to develop and grow Natfood’s UK sales of poultry meat and value-added products across raw, semi-finished and convenience lines. This is a hands-on commercial role in a build-phase business: you will own customer relationships end-to-end, shape the UK product mix and pricing, and act as the day-to-day bridge between UK customers and our production base. You will work directly with senior management and play a meaningful part in establishing the UK structure as volumes scale from launch towards a steady-state target of 500 to 700 tonnes per month. The successful candidate will combine strong UK market knowledge with the practical mindset needed to operate in a young business, where structure and processes are still being built and the right person can have a disproportionate impact on the long-term shape of the company. Core responsibilities Develop and grow UK sales of poultry meat and value-added products, including raw, semi-finished, marinated, cooked and convenience lines, against agreed volume, revenue and margin targets. Build and manage relationships with wholesalers, foodservice distributors, processors and selected retail and private-label partners, with a focus on long-term, repeat business. Act as the commercial bridge between UK customers and production, ensuring specifications, packaging formats, volumes, lead times and pricing are clearly aligned on both sides. Identify and approach new customers, prepare listing meetings, present samples and specifications, and lead commercial negotiations through to signed contracts and stable order patterns. Manage day-to-day account performance, including forecasting, order pipeline, pricing reviews, promotional planning and resolution of any quality, documentation or delivery issues. Work closely with senior management on commercial strategy, reporting, KPIs and budgeting, and contribute to the build-out of the wider UK commercial team. Represent Natfood at trade events, customer visits and supplier audits in the UK and, where relevant. Candidate profile Strong UK poultry or meat sector background, with a working knowledge of the key channels, customers, competitors, pricing benchmarks and seasonality. Proven B2B sales experience across wholesale, foodservice and/or processing customers; experience with retail and private-label programmes is an advantage. Commercially hands-on and comfortable operating in a build-phase environment, where structure and processes are still being established. Familiarity with UK food safety and certification standards relevant to poultry, including BRCGS, Red Tractor and Halal, and an understanding of UK labelling requirements. Strong negotiation, account management and forecasting skills, with the ability to manage pricing and margin in a volatile raw materials market. Numerate, organised and comfortable working with Excel-based pricing models, sales pipelines and KPI dashboards. Open on background: British or internationally experienced UK-based candidates are both welcome, provided they have the right to work in the UK. What we offer A senior commercial role in a fast-growing UK business with direct access to a leading European producer and a clear pipeline of product and channel opportunities. Competitive base salary with a performance-related bonus linked to volume and margin targets, reviewed annually. Real influence over UK strategy, product mix, pricing and customer portfolio from the early stage of the business. Clear scope for career progression as Natfood’s UK volumes and team grow, including the opportunity to build and lead a wider commercial function over time. A collaborative working environment with senior leadership based in London and close day-to-day contact with the production team. How to apply Please send your CV and a short covering note outlining your relevant UK meat sector experience, current notice period and salary expectations.
