The opportunity We are supporting a world-leading complex capital equipment business in the appointment of a Director of Sales – EMEA. This is a senior commercial leadership role with full responsibility for driving sales growth, service performance and market development across Europe and the wider EMEA region. The business operates at the cutting edge of technology supplying highly engineered solutions into demanding sectors. The company forms part of a large, highly respected US-based industrial technology group, offering both stability and long-term investment. This role is based at the global headquarters in the UK and reports into senior global leadership. The role As Director of Sales – EMEA, you will lead a multi-country organisation spanning Sales, Field Service and Applications, with responsibility for a team of 35+ people across direct sales teams, country managers and distributor partners. Key responsibilities include: • Owning and delivering the EMEA sales and service growth strategy, • Leading, coaching and developing country sales managers and regional teams, • Driving performance across direct sales and distributor / partner networks, • Growing aftermarket and service revenue, working closely with global service leadership, • Sponsoring key accounts and engaging directly with strategic customers, • Developing annual operating plans, budgets and forecasts aligned to group strategy, • Embedding strong CRM discipline, pipeline management and forecasting accuracy, • Working with marketing teams to deliver effective digital, event and trade show activity, • Identifying new markets, applications and routes to market across EMEA This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategic planning with regular customer and partner engagement. The person We are looking for an experienced, commercially credible sales leader with a proven track record in industrial capital equipment or technical solutions. You are likely to bring: • 5–10+ years’ success in senior sales leadership roles across multiple EMEA territories, • Experience managing direct sales teams and distributor networks, • A background in capital equipment, instrumentation or similar complex systems (long sales cycle), • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance growth, margin and forecast accuracy, • Confidence operating within a structured, metrics-driven, global organisation, • The gravitas to build long-term relationships with senior customers and internal stakeholders, • Cultural awareness and experience working across markets in the EMEA region, • A technical or engineering degree (or strong technical learning agility) Additional European language skills are an advantage but not essential.
