Job Specifics: • 2x Full-time (37 hrs) & 1xPart-time (24 hrs), • Contract: Permanent, • Salary: 24531.00 62.64 for each sleep-in What is great about the role Dyfrig House provides supported accommodation for homeless people who are motivated to address their problematic alcohol and substance use issues. We support these individuals by engaging them in recovery & treatment services and through providing housing related support so that they can live independently. Dyfrig House works with Pobls treatment services as well as local recovery services to support people on their journey to recovery and facilitate a positive move on into independent living. Some of the individuals we support have been involved in the criminal justice system so this is a good opportunity to support people to make positive life changes. This is an active and engaging role where no 2 days are the same and you will be supporting individuals with challenging and complex needs. Your duties will include: • Engaging and interacting with the people we support, • Supporting the client as directed by the Project Worker according to the support plan specifically tailored to each client, • Wellbeing checks, • Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building, • Reception duties, • Dealing with challenging behaviours and responding to arising needs, • Using IT systems to accurately record client interactions and maintain internal documentation in line with organisational policies You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours and each client will be in different stage in their recovery journey so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental. Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom bathroom and kitchen facilities.
