🎯 Role | Specialist Debt Adviser 📑 Areas | Debt Advice, Casework, Financial Wellbeing, Community Support 📍 Based | North West London (Hybrid Working) 💰 Offer | £38,000 per annum 🕒 Contract | Full-time, Fixed-Term (12 months, with potential to become permanent) Hi 👋 We’re working with a well-established community organisation delivering specialist debt and money advice services to residents facing financial difficulty. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll provide high-quality, regulated debt advice and support individuals to regain financial stability and confidence. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team operating in a fast-paced but rewarding environment, working closely with partner organisations to deliver holistic, impact-driven support. 💥 As a Specialist Debt Adviser, you will: • Deliver comprehensive, FCA-regulated debt advice tailored to individual circumstances, • Manage a varied caseload, supporting clients from initial assessment through to resolution, • Prepare financial statements, explore income maximisation options, and negotiate with creditors, • Support clients with formal and informal debt solutions (e.g. repayment plans, insolvency options, write-offs), • Maintain accurate, compliant case records in line with quality and regulatory standards, • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide wraparound support and appropriate referrals, • Contribute to service monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance activity, • Support continuous improvement through training, supervision, and professional development 💥 What we’re looking for: • Accredited Debt Adviser status (or equivalent recognised certification), • At least one years’ experience delivering comprehensive debt advice in a regulated setting, • Strong understanding of debt legislation, welfare benefits, and financial inclusion issues, • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to support clients sensitively and non-judgementally, • Strong written, numerical, and IT skills, including experience using case management systems, • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team environment, • Commitment to equality, safeguarding, and professional standards 🌱 What’s on offer: • £38,000 salary, • 35-hour working week, • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, • Pension contribution, • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements (subject to service needs), • Access to wellbeing support and employee benefits, • Ongoing training, CPD, and professional supervision, • Opportunity to make a tangible difference in people’s lives
