Key Responsibilities • Set up and maintain specialist activity areas, ensuring equipment is safe, fit for purpose and prepared in line with Activity Codes of Practice., • Deliver high-quality specialist sessions (e.g., Archery, Motorsports), following Barracudas’ training, safety procedures, and session guidelines., • Provide clear safety briefings and demonstrations, ensuring children understand and follow all rules and instructions., • Maintain active supervision throughout all sessions, ensuring safe behaviour, correct equipment use and appropriate group control., • Complete daily and weekly safety checks, including equipment inspections, risk assessments, and session paperwork., • Encourage full participation, motivating children to try new activities and supporting them to develop confidence and new skills., • Work collaboratively with supporting staff, directing them appropriately to maintain safe ratios and smooth session delivery., • Monitor and maintain specialist equipment, reporting damage, replacing consumables, and ensuring safe storage., • Follow all safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures, reporting concerns immediately to the Senior Team or Designated Safeguarding Lead., • Support wider camp operations, including assisting with general activities, Skills Builder sessions and swimming when required– you’ll need to bring swimwear and a spare t-shirt will be available at camp., • Maintain a tidy, hazard-free activity space, ensuring equipment is packed away securely after each session., • Ensure the safe use of all equipment, modelling correct practice and reinforcing safety expectations.
