We look forward to hearing from you. About the Role We are seeking an accomplished Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at our prestigious golf and events venue. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, hands-on chef to shape a distinctive food offering across the clubhouse, events, and member and fine dining — balancing creativity, consistency, and profitability. The Head Chef will play a key role in elevating our culinary reputation, crafting menus that celebrate seasonal produce, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members, guests, and event clients. From intimate clubhouse lunches to large-scale weddings and corporate golf days, this role demands a leader who can bring vision, precision, and flair to every service and build on our legacy. Salary: £40-45,000 per annum based on qualifications, experience and references. There is also potential for a result based review after 6 months. Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership & Menu Development • Define and lead the culinary direction for all dining outlets, including the clubhouse restaurant, bar menu and event catering., • Design and evolve menus that showcase fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal ingredients — balancing modern flair with classic appeal., • Develop bespoke menus for weddings and corporate events, ensuring variety, creativity, and commercial viability., • Oversee all kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation., • Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver a service-oriented, guest-focused culture., • Ensure compliance with all allergen, H&S, HACCP, and food hygiene standards., • Manage ordering, supplier relationships, and stock control to maintain accuracy, quality, and cost efficiency., • Monitor gross profit, wastage, and purchasing — reporting accurately and driving performance improvements., • Train and develop a motivated and professional F&B team for both front and Back-of-House., • Foster a culture of pride, accountability, and collaboration between kitchen and front-of-house teams., • Collaborate with the events and operations teams to deliver high-quality food service for weddings, banquets, and events, alongside daily member dining., • Work closely with clients and event planners to tailor menus and ensure flawless delivery., • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a golf club, events venue, hotel, or premium hospitality setting., • Strong culinary creativity with the ability to balance fine dining quality and large-volume event delivery., • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for team development., • Deep understanding of kitchen management, cost control, and health & safety compliance., • Passion for delivering exceptional food and service in a member- and guest-focused environment., • Commercially astute, hands-on, and eager to leave a lasting mark on a growing and dynamic venue., • Ability to work weekends and evenings; this is not a 9 - 5 role., • Access to use of/your own car for ease of commuting NO AGENCIES - THANK YOU
