SECURITY OPERATIONS MANAGER (NORTH) Contract: Banking Location: Edinburgh, EH12 1HQ Hours of work: 37.5 (Mon - Fri) Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a proactive Regional Security Operations Manager to lead and manage security operations across a diverse portfolio of sites within the NWG estate. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of security are consistently achieved, while maintaining operational effectiveness and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Job Description The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for service management, overseeing Duty Managers, Supervisors, and Static Guards. People management is at the heart of this role, requiring strong leadership skills, regular one-to-one engagement, and a commitment to developing teams. You will also ensure compliance, resource allocation, and client satisfaction across all sites. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead and manage Duty Managers, Supervisors, and Static Guards across multiple sites, ensuring operational excellence., • Conduct quarterly security audits at each location and follow through on actions, ensuring timely reporting., • Monitor and maintain valid SIA licences for all security personnel., • Oversee scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring effective deployment of officers, including third-party suppliers., • Manage recruitment at officer level and support people development initiatives., • Compile and manage rosters/schedules via SOC Team systems (WFM/iTime)., • Maintain and review health and safety documentation in line with legislation and compliance requirements., • Ensure standards are consistently achieved, maintained, and improved where possible, while assisting with day-to-day operational needs. What We’re Looking For • Demonstrated experience managing security contracts across multiple sites or regions, • Strong background in people management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, • A confident and effective leader who consistently brings out the best in others, • Sound understanding of Security Guarding operations in line with BS 7499 standards, • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally, • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of influencing, negotiating, and building positive client relationships, • A collaborative mindset, working effectively within the team and across wider business functions, • Valid SIA Licence (Frontline or Door Supervisor), • Full UK Driving Licence to support regional travel, • Desirable: Experience managing and working to budget The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
