We have an opportunity for an Import Merchandiser to join our team in Salford on a 1 year Fixed term basis. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the merchandiser will liase with offshore suppliers, factories and customers to manage the critical path ensuring all products meet the delivery dates while maintaining the quality and safety standards required.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nManage Customer and Licensor approvals to meet critical path. \n\t\nCheck lab dips/strike offs and bulk fabric submissions and manage customer approval\n\t\nRaise orders on the internal system and notify country offices / factories as required. \n\t\nInput data into the internal Order Management system to provide up to date and accurate information for the production and warehousing teams to work from\n\t\nComplete customer packaging requirements and order photographic samples with factories \n\t\nLiaise with the Licensing coordinator regarding the development and approval of licensor packaging. \n\t\nEnsure all paperwork is kept up to date and ensure customer contracts match our PO/SO \n\t\nArrange and lead customer pre-production meetings \n\t\nBe responsible (along with Technical team) for Gold Seal checking procedure and authorizing shipment of goods \n\t\nCo-ordinate the checking and approval of invoices and packing lists and giving the authorization to accounts for payment. \n\t\nWork alongside the warehouse team to ensure on time delivery of goods to the customer.\n\t\nMeetings with the customer as per agreement with the Account Manager. \n\t\nIdentify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.\n\t\nAny other duties deemed necessary by management.\n\t\nObserve all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.\n\t\nMaximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities \n\nThis is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other benefits include employee assistance program, Royal London pension, paid refer a friend scheme, and employee social club.\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential\n\nPrevious Import Merchandising experience.\n\t\nProficiency in a range of software, including MS Office Suite.\n\t\nAbility to see a full colour range (required for checking lab dips)\n\nDesirable\n\nDegree or equivalent in Industry related field. \n\t\nWorking with licensors, or character wear \n\t\nPrevious experience of working within the fashion or textiles industry, ideally in childrenswear.\n\t\nClean current driving license (for attending customer visits)\n\nAbout The Cooneen Group \n\nCooneen Group is one of the largest and most diversified garment manufacturers in Europe.
