This role provides product stewardship and regulatory support for the CBG and EPS businesses across the EMEAI region, ensuring compliance with consumer product regulations. It serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory and product safety matters, supports business decisions through impact assessments, and drives harmonization of stewardship processes, SDS, labeling, and regulatory projects. This position is ideally based working hybrid from our site in Sheffield but could also be based near our office in Wokingham, Reading with some travel to Sheffield.In this role you will accountable for... Compliance Support • Interpret and apply EMEAI consumer product regulations (CBG & EPS), developing compliance strategies and conducting independent impact assessments, • Act as subject matter expert for consumer product regulations and drive harmonised stewardship processes across sites, • Represent Product Stewardship with external bodies (e.g. trade associations, working groups) as required, • Own SDS preparation and maintenance; review and approve regulatory content for product labels, • Independently resolve routine to complex internal and external customer regulatory inquiries, • Act as EMEAI single point of contact for regulatory, legislative, and product safety matters, • Support R&D, Marketing, Sales, and customers with strategic, regulation-driven guidance, • Prepare responses to regulatory agency inquiries in collaboration with Legal and management, • Identify and drive process and system improvements to meet evolving regulatory requirements, • Lead complex product stewardship projects and contribute to cross-functional initiatives, • Deliver training and awareness sessions on product stewardship trends and regulatory updatesThe skills and experience you will ideally have..., • Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry, engineering, industrial hygiene); Masters preferred, ideally in polymer chemistry, • Minimum 3 years experience in product stewardship or regulatory roles (6 years preferred), • Strong knowledge of EMEAI chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP (EU/UK) and BPR, • Experience managing raw material and finished goods compliance and responding to customer inquiries, • SDS and label authoring experience; global and UK regulatory exposure preferred, • Background in paint & coatings, chemical industry, or consumer products advantageous, • Proficient with regulatory, formulation, and ERP systems; strong data analysis skills, • Fluent in English; product development and project management experience a plusOur offer to you..., • Work life balance hybrid and flexible working schedule, • Competitive compensation programme, • Company bonus plan, • Private medical insurance, • Company contributed pension, • Career growth opportunities in a truly international environment, • Innovation leaders in the protective coatings industry, • Sherwin Academy offers continuous training programmes for all seniority levels Life with rewards, benefits and the flexibility to enhance your health and well-being All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.
