Purpose Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a Placement Facilitator to support undergraduate learners, with a strong focus on high-skilled experiential placements. The role aims to enhance student employability by delivering professional career guidance, supporting job applications and interview preparation, and aligning academic learning with career outcomes. Working under the Careers Advisor and alongside Placement Officers, the postholder will ensure high-quality, meaningful placements that contribute to strong graduate outcomes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners to expand placement opportunities., • Identify job, internship, and placement opportunities for learners., • Conduct risk assessments for placement settings and ensure compliance., • Visit learners on placement to provide support, assess competencies, and give feedback in line with awarding body requirements., • Plan and deliver simulated assessments where required., • Maintain accurate records of employers, placements, and student progress., • Support students with additional assessment needs and refer to appropriate services where necessary., • Promote opportunities through job boards, newsletters, and digital platforms., • Support delivery of careers advice, including CV writing, applications, and interview preparation., • Help learners identify skills and align them with career goals., • Provide guidance on enhancing employability and job readiness., • Organise and deliver workshops on employability skills, including communication, teamwork, and leadership., • Coordinate mock interviews and assessment centre activities., • Organise career fairs, employer events, and networking opportunities., • Support alumni engagement initiatives, including mentoring and career support., • Maintain accurate assessment and placement records in line with institutional requirements., • Support placement administration tasks, including compliance checks such as DBS., • Analyse data on student outcomes and placements to inform improvements., • Work closely with academic teams, student services, and external organisations to provide integrated support., • Promote career services through marketing campaigns and student engagement activities., • Stay informed on labour market trends and best practices in career development., • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. careers guidance, HR, education, or counselling)., • Level 3 Assessor or Level 3 IAG qualification (Level 6 CIAG desirable)., • At least 12 months’ experience in careers, employability, or student support., • Experience within a higher education setting is advantageous., • Strong knowledge of employability strategies and the graduate labour market., • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills., • Ability to build employer partnerships and deliver employability programmes., • Competence in data analysis and reporting to support continuous improvement., • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion., • £27000.00-£30,000.00 per year (depending on qualifications and experience)., • Up to £5,000 annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period.
