Role Description Title: Subcontractor and Associate Physiotherapist, for the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Hours: Flexible and ad hoc Accountable to: Director and Lead of Oxhab Limited Contact: 07741 586327 Oxhab We are a friendly physiotherapy team who provide services of specialist physiotherapy and rehabilitation at our Oxford clinic and also in the community, to clients in Oxford and surrounding areas. Oxhab Values · Client-Centred Rehabilitation · Holistic Client Care · Highly Responsive · Client Empowerment · Excellence in Standards Summary of Requirements • To provide sub-contracted services as an autonomous practitioner providing physiotherapy assessments and treatments., • Voluntary participation in peer training / in- house CPD support. Professional Requirements • To have the relevant qualification: Physiotherapy BSc. (Hons) Or Physiotherapy MSc., • To be a registered member of the Health and Care Professional Council & Chartered Society of Physiotherapy., • To comply with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy codes of professional values and behaviour at all times., • To comply with the standards of Proficiency, Conduct, Performance and Ethics of the Health and Care Professions Council., • To have 2+ years UK physiotherapy NHS experience, including working in orthopaedic and / or musculoskeletal physiotherapy., • To provide a valid / current DBS check., • To have attended and completed first aid training including resuscitation. To have attended and completed manual handling training., • To have specialist knowledge and skills in the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions., • Able to assess and diagnose musculoskeletal conditions, develop tailored rehab programmes and provide evidence-based treatment., • Maintain own continuous personal professional development as per governing professional body guidelines. Sub-contracted Service Requirements • To responsibly manage an independent patient caseload, in an autonomous manner., • To perform skilled assessment, treatment and management of clients, including red flag recognition., • Ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy / rehabilitation services including goal setting for all attending clients., • To use and integrate evidence-based practice and specialist treatment skills including therapeutic handling skills., • To fulfil the legal requirements and obligations of documentation: maintaining accurate, confidential and up to date patient records., • To demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills in the management of own caseload., • To be able to adapt to an unpredictable work pattern on a daily basis. This includes the arrangement of patient appointments and coordinating with colleagues., • To complete lone working, with oversight by the Director of Oxhab Limited., • To carry out some physiotherapy work in the clinic., • To carry some physiotherapy work within the local community of Oxford / Oxfordshire., • To be aware of, and keep up to date with and adhere to the following at all times: o All local company policies and procedures o Health and Safety at Work Act o Data Protection Act (1998) o GDPR Policy o Other relevant agreed practice / policy Personal Attributes • Able to work within the team of Oxhab physiotherapy., • Ability to work under pressure., • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients., • Excellent communication skills for communication with colleagues at Oxhab, with General Practitioners, Consultants and other healthcare professionals as part of patient care., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient management and report writing., • Adaptable and flexible., • Responsible for the safe and competent use of all clinic equipment, and any IT devices., • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment at the clinic, for clients, physiotherapy colleagues and responsible for own safety.
