Job Description: SEN Teaching Assistants – Northwest and North London | Full-Time & Daily Supply Options Location: Brent, Barnet, Camden, Islington and Harrow Start Date: ASAP Contract: Flexible – Full-Time and Daily Supply options available Salary: From £80 – £110 per day (dependent on experience) SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time or Supply Opportunities - Northwest London Are you a compassionate, resilient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? We are working with highly supportive SEND Schools that are expanding their teams. Multiple positions are available, from long-term roles to flexible day-to-day supply. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist environment that supports pupils with a wide and complex range of needs and takes a therapeutic, holistic approach to education. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), PMLD, SEMH and communication needs, • Work across EYFS–KS5, adapting to both 1:1 and small-group support, • Help implement individual EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes, • Use non-punitive, trauma-informed behaviour support strategies, • Assist with communication tools such as PECS, visual timetables, sensory regulation and AAC (training can be provided), • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and behaviour support teams, • Promote independence, confidence and engagement in learning, • Support with personal care or mobility needs where required (training provided) What We’re Looking For • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care, residential or youth work backgrounds all welcome), • A calm, patient and adaptable approach, • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, • An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice, • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What We Offer • A range of roles to suit your availability and experience, • Long-term opportunities and pathways to permanent employment, • Ongoing support from an experienced consultant, • Access to CPD, training and behaviour support workshops, • A rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a specialist school community Interested?
