What We’re Looking For


The Director of Development is responsible for leading and implementing the organization’s fundraising strategy. This includes managing donor relationships, securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships, and building a culture of philanthropy across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan to meet revenue goals


Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners


Write grant proposals and manage reporting requirements


Oversee donor database and maintain accurate records


Plan and manage fundraising events and campaigns


Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to support fundraising efforts


Supervise development staff or contractors as needed


Qualifications:


5+ years of experience in fundraising or development


Strong communication and relationship-building skills


Proven track record of securing funding from multiple sources


Experience with donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect, etc.)


Ability to work independently and as part of a team
