Drilling, reaming, tapping, countersinking, and counterboring are the most common operations performed. A wide variety of workpiece sizes and shapes are machined using assorted clamps, chucks, and vises to hold them. Galvanized mild steel, 300 series stainless steels, and G10 fiber/resin blocks are the most common materials machined. Some workpieces will require the use of a jib crane. Drilled holes can be as large as 4-1/8” and taps can be up to 4”. Must be able to work safely alone and stay on task but ask for help when needed. Must be able to work overtime as needed, including weekends. This can be a very dynamic shop so the ability to change focus quickly and think creatively to solve difficulties is crucial. Responsibilities • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production areas, offices, hallways, and breakrooms., • Dust and wipe down surfaces, workstations, furniture, and equipment as needed., • Empty trash cans, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to company guidelines., • Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and supply restocking., • Remove debris, scrap materials, and dust from production areas., • Clean around machinery and equipment following safety guidelines., • Maintain cleanliness of walkways, staging areas, and high-traffic zones., • Clean windows, doors, walls, and high surfaces as assigned., • Wash and sanitize breakrooms, kitchenettes, and shared appliances., • Follow proper chemical usage, dilution, and SDS safety requirements., • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (gloves, glasses, safety shoes, etc.)., • Report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages to the Supervisor., • Ensure cleaning supplies and tools are stored safely and organized., • High school diploma or GED required, • Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred, especially in manufacturing environments, • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment., • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment., • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks, • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours), • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently, • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required, • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, • Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment, • Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects, • Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.) Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime, weekend shifts, or on-call schedules as needed
