Job Description Graphic Designer Sign Wide Format Printing EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Create, design, and refine print-ready graphic designs electronically, spanning from single-color to intricate four-color projects. Craft layouts and artwork based on precise client specifications and requirements. Proficiently navigate various visual software platforms, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and PDF, leveraging knowledge of graphic fundamentals and layout principles. Conduct pre-press file preparations to ensure optimal file quality for designated digital devices. Additionally, contribute to the production of signs and graphic projects, operating equipment for vinyl plotting, wide-format printing, and laminating tasks. Compensation: $19 - $21 hourly Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES • Create beautiful visual images that accurately capture the client’s concept, • Create and design graphics, illustrations, sketches, and layouts for digital or print platforms, • Collaborate with the customer and the sales team member, • Proficiently create images and work within a wide range of media and graphic design software programs, • Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, and production requirements, • Identify, match, select colors, fonts, images, and layouts, • Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and can be produced into a quality product, • Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects, • Establish creative direction for the company within brand guidelines, • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions, • Determine complementary products and messaging for graphic design pieces, • Provide proofs, correct for errors, and adjust design per client’s specifications/request, • Implement feedback and changes, • Enhance knowledge and skills through continual learning and expanding knowledge and proficiency with design programs, graphic design, and print, • Communicate verbally or in writing instructions/information necessary to produce a successful end product, • Review production layout(s) as needed, and collaborate on improvements, • Log and record projects, • Minimum 3 Years in Sign Production, • Minimum 3 Years in Wide Format Printing, • Minimum 3 Years with RIP Software, • Minimum 3 Years with Wide Format Laminators, • Minimum 3 Years Vinyl Table Work, • Minimum 3 Years Light Installs, • Sign, print experience, • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat Professional, • Proficient in RIP Software, • Proficient in MS Office Suite, • Expertise in color management concepts and procedures EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with emphasis in computer design; two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information both one-on-one and to client groups, customers, supervisor, and other team members. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret correctly within customer specifications and convert them as necessary for a successful design outcome. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
