Job Description Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a growing financial group in Covina, CA. This role involves managing bookkeeping for multiple entities, including financial reporting, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have experience handling multiple accounts, processing payroll for several small companies, and managing employee hours, benefits, and taxes. Tax preparation experience is required, including preparing tax documents, supporting year-end filings, and working with external tax advisors. Strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential for success in this role. Pay: $30.00-$35.00 DOE Benefits and Features: • Paid Holidays, paid vacatio,n and sick time, • Health, Vision, Dental, FSA, and life insurance benefit plans Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple companies, including maintaining general ledgers, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate financial records., • Perform bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and intercompany account reconciliations., • Process and track invoices, payments, and expenses for multiple entities in accordance with company policies and procedures., • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each company., • Coordinate and assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting across different entities., • Prepare and file business and individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations, • Assist with year-end tax preparation, including gathering necessary documentation and working with external tax professionals, • Manage payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements for multiple companies., • Monitor financial discrepancies and collaborate with the finance team to resolve issues., • Prepare and file sales tax returns, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for all companies., • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for the companies under the group., • Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals as required. Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred., • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, with proven ability to manage multiple company accounts., • Direct experience in preparing and filing tax returns (individual and/or business) is required, • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office, particularly Excel., • Experience in multi-company bookkeeping and accounting., • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements., • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines., • High level of accuracy and attention to detail., • Bookkeeping certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar are a plus.
