About the role: The Vice President of Sales is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving census growth and referral development across all markets. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, this role partners closely with Hospice Care Consultants (HCCs) and market leaders to develop and execute sales strategies, strengthen referral partnerships, and achieve revenue goals. This leader will build a culture of accountability, coaching, and performance, ensuring that Luminary Hospice is recognized as the provider of choice in every community we serve. Job Responsibilities: • Sales Leadership & Strategy • Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to design, implement, and refine sales strategies aligned with organizational growth goals., • Translate organizational objectives into actionable field sales plans, KPIs, and performance metrics., • Monitor performance against targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. • Team Development & Coaching • Directly oversee Hospice Care Consultants in the field, ensuring consistent execution of sales strategies., • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to HCCs to enhance referral development skills., • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, recognition, and professional growth. • Market & Business Development • Build and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and community partners., • Partner with Executive Directors and operational leaders to ensure alignment between sales activity, census growth, and patient care delivery., • Conduct regular field visits with HCCs to model best practices and support market development • Collaboration & Reporting • Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, HR) to ensure alignment on messaging, brand positioning, and recruitment of top talent., • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales performance, referral trends, and competitive intelligence to the Chief Growth Officer., • Contribute to the development of growth forecasts and market expansion strategies. Job Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)., • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in healthcare, preferably hospice, home health, or related post-acute services., • Proven ability to lead field-based sales teams to exceed census and revenue targets., • Strong knowledge of hospice referral networks, healthcare regulations, and payer models., • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills., • Data-driven mindset with ability to translate metrics into actionable strategies.
