Overview: The Corporate Shared Services Maintenance Planner supports centralized maintenance planning and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple mine sites. This role partners closely with site maintenance and operations teams to improve planning quality, forecasting accuracy, system utilization, and maintenance execution performance. Working under the direction of the Manager, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, this position assists in standardizing maintenance work management processes, optimizing Oracle EAM functionality, improving Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs, and strengthening planning and scheduling effectiveness. The role requires strong technical planning capability, data analysis skills, and the ability to coach and influence site teams to drive sustainable improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Support • Support short-range (6-week), mid-range (12-week), and long-range (18+ week) maintenance forecasting and tracking processes to ensure alignment with budgets, asset strategies, and mine plans., • Partner with site maintenance planners to improve detailed work plan development for PCRs, rebuilds, shutdowns, upgrades, major projects, services, and inspections., • Review equipment documentation and job scopes to help define job steps, labor estimates, parts requirements, tooling, and safety considerations., • Assist in identifying material and logistical risks that may impact schedule compliance and support mitigation strategies., • Provide remote and occasional on-site planning and scheduling support during critical events, shutdowns, or performance improvement initiatives., • Support optimization of Oracle EAM Asset Activity and Preventive Maintenance programs, including configuration updates, PM improvements, data cleanup, and testing., • Assist in maintaining corporate maintenance work management standards and support implementation at site level., • Provide training and guidance to site maintenance personnel on effective use of business applications, including Oracle EAM, scheduling tools (Arrow), Xeras, and Tableau., • Extract, analyze, and interpret maintenance data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities., • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as PM compliance, schedule adherence, backlog health, forecast accuracy, and equipment reliability indicators., • Support corporate maintenance and reliability audits by preparing data analysis and assisting with action tracking., • Support site teams in maintenance budget preparation, forecasting, and performance tracking within systems such as Xeras., • Assist in tracking critical asset component lifecycles to support risk mitigation and capital planning., • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions as needed to support reliability improvements., • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, preferably within mining, heavy industry, or similar asset-intensive environments., • Practical experience with mobile equipment and/or fixed plant maintenance is highly desirable., • Working knowledge of maintenance work management processes, including planning, scheduling, backlog management, and PM compliance., • Proficiency with CMMS systems (Oracle EAM preferred)., • Experience using scheduling tools (Arrow), Xeras, and data visualization tools such as Tableau is considered an asset., • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret maintenance data and present actionable insights., • Effective communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence site maintenance teams in a collaborative manner., • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint)., • Strong organizational and multitasking skills., • Understanding of production scheduling and operational constraints., • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is considered an asset.
