Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION RN - MedSurg/Tele About Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210 How many licensed beds? 337 Trauma Designation? No Teaching Hospital? No Chest Pain Center? Yes Stroke Center? Yes Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: Beds: 34 Average Census: 32 Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months of Med/Tele exp Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: MedSurg: DKA, Sepsis, Wounds, CHF, AKI, Client, Diabetes, Anemia, Sickle Cell Crisis Surgical: Pancreatitis, Spinal Fusions, Ortho total joints Knees/Hips Patient Ratios: RN: Days: 1:5; Nights: 1:6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8) CNA: Days 1:12; Nights 1:12 Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS CNA: BLS Skills required: RN: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc. CNA: acute care MedSurg experience Support within the Department: CNA (Ratios 1:12) patient care and mobility Receptionist/HUC, 24/7 Charge nurse Phlebotomy, 24/7 IV/VAT Team, 24/7 Pharmacist dedicated to unit Case Manager x 2 per unit MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist RT 24/7 will perform Nebulizer treatments Nurse Educator Hospitalist, 24/7 No remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Phillips Rover Communication Floating: Within region and scope of practice Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 2 days departmental Other notes: Scrub Color: RN: Navy Blue CNA: Burgandy Parking: Free Unit Culture: Welcoming; Helpful Teammates #TB_RN #ZRHC Why TalentBurst?
