POSITION PURPOSE: Under direction from the Production Supervisor, the Machine Operator A operates machines to manufacture a variety of standard parts and details to close tolerances and finish requirements. Full-Time Salary Range: $20-25 / hr Shift Available: 1st shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Machines you will work with: HAAS Vertical Mills HAAS Lathes Okuma Lathes ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \n • Operate machine tools to produce precision parts\n, • Modify parts and materials to improve overall production\n, • Inspect completed parts\n, • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments\n This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary. Employees are and will be held accountable for all duties of the job. \n • May operate multiple machines \n, • Perform close tolerance machining operations such as centering, drilling, reaming, tapping, turning, milling, deburr at back side, file and/or sand\n, • Operations may vary with approval of supervisor to compensate for variations in material and machining operations\n, • Lubricate machines as needed with oil, grease and coolant\n, • Will work from drawings specifications and job layouts using a variety of measuring instruments\n, • Make machine and tool adjustments as needed\n, • Obtain and return tools as required\n, • Checks parts per specification and ensure proper forms are completed including part tags, process sheets and timecards \n, • Maintain and improve insert and tooling management\n, • May help and train other staff \n To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
